How reviews work
Anyone with an account can review a business they dealt with. A rating on a business page is nothing more than the arithmetic of the reviews it received — there is no editorial thumb on the scale and no paid placement in it. A business can claim its page and reply publicly; that reply shows as an official response beside the review, never in place of it. Reviews that break the guidelines are removed, not quietly rewritten, and a review's edit history stays visible so a changed opinion can be read as one.
How price data works
Prices are read automatically from Bangladeshi retailers' own product pages and re-checked through the day. Every price is shown with its shop and its last-checked time, so any number here is verifiable at the source in one click. A listing that sits far below the median for a product is not promoted to "lowest price" — at that gap it is usually a grey-market import or a different configuration, so it stays on the page, flagged, where the caveat fits.

What we do not do
No invented people. The platform's automation may publish facts and AI text — always badged as AI in the interface — but it is never permitted to create a user account or post an opinion as a person.
No paid ratings or paid rankings. Business tools are sold; scores, ordering and price data are not for sale.
No silent edits. Guides and comparisons are maintained in place and carry the date the content actually changed, not the date a job last looked at them.

Are the reviews real?
They are written by registered users about businesses they dealt with. BDReviewer never creates accounts to post reviews, and never writes a review under a customer's name — that rule is enforced in the platform's automation, which is allowed to publish facts and clearly-badged AI text but is never allowed to create a user. Reviews that break the guidelines are removed rather than edited.
Can a business pay to change its rating or ranking?
No. A rating is the arithmetic of the reviews that business received, and no paid product changes it. A business can claim its page and reply publicly to reviews; the reply appears as an official response, labelled, next to the review it answers.
Where do the prices come from?
From named Bangladeshi retailers' own product pages, checked automatically. Every price on the site is shown with the shop it came from and when it was last checked, so you can verify it at the source.
Why is a price I saw somewhere cheaper not shown as the lowest?
A listing far below the median for that product is usually not the same product — it is a grey-market or unofficial-warranty import, or a different configuration. Those listings stay visible and flagged, but they are excluded from headline claims like 'lowest price', because a confident wrong number is worse than no number.
Is BDReviewer free?
Yes for readers, always. Businesses can pay for tools on their own page — analytics, review invitations, responses — and nothing in those tools touches ratings, rankings or price data.
How do I check a price for myself?
Every price links to the shop's own product page, and carries the time it was last read. If the shop has changed the price since, the shop is right and the next check will follow it — that is why the timestamp is on the page rather than hidden in the data.
